Ombre French Manicure

PIN-This pin is of an ombre french manicure: http://theresakistel.com/diy-ombre-french-tip-manicure-nail-tutorial/

REVIEW-This is a wonderful tutorial on how to give yourself an Ombre Manicure. It is a very simple process. It may just be that practice makes perfect but when she was doing her nails, as there was not much mess at all. I found the process to be very different when I did mine. I did a lot of clean up around my nails, which seemed to be the most time time consuming part of the process. Although there was a lot of clean up, I feel that the final product turned out great! In addition, I also had to add more than two coats to make mine turn out the way I wanted, but again it could just be that practice makes perfect. As you can see, I have thicker white tips than she does, but it is all about preference. I hope you enjoy your Ombre nails, and DO NOT be afraid to try different colors. I cannot wait to, and I'll be sure to show the results :)

"Starbucks" Coffee Fappuccino

PIN-As you can see this was a pin for Starbucks coffee recipes. To make a "coffee frappuccino" http://www.dwallace.net/starbucks.pdf

REVIEW-Coffee frappuccinos are one of my favorite drinks at Starbucks, so finding this recipe book on Pinterest made me ecstatic! As you can see that my recreation did not turn out quite as well as Starbucks' frappuccinos. Along with not looking exactly like it, it also did not taste as wonderful as Starbucks either. I would recommend making your "double-strength" coffee the night before and leaving it the your refrigerator overnight, which is something I did not do. Although it was not exactly the same as Starbucks, the $4.00 I saved making it at home was worth it and for a coffee lover like me :), I still found it to be pretty tasty. Also after making it a couple time, you may find you want to add more of one ingredient and less of another to make it taste more to your liking

Sock Bun Curls

PIN-This pin showed how to create beautiful curls without using potential damaging heat. This pin recommended putting your hair in a sock bun after showering, while your hair is still wet and then after a night of sleep with the sock bun still in place, you wake up with beautiful curls when removing the bun.
REVIEW-You can see in the "recreation" picture that my hair was not so much curly as it was messy waves. I was still pleased with how my hair turned out but while I was sleeping my sock bun became a little loose, so I would recommend using bobby pin to help hold the sock bun in place over night. I would also recommend hair spraying your hair as soon as you take the sock bun our, remember: less it more! I still think this is a great easy way to create volumized curls/waves without having to do much at all, especially if you would like an extra few minutes of sleep in that morning.

French Manicure With Lining Dots

PIN-This pin only showed a picture of the nails but I felt that it was pretty easy to recreate with only the picture.
REVIEW- As you can see I put a different twist from the original pin by using different colors and by also putting the dots close together. I thought they turned out pretty well and by adding the dots, it was able to cover any minor mistake I had made on my white tips. My nails did not take very long to complete and the dots were easy to apply, even when using my left hand (I am right handed), which is always a plus :)

2-Minute Chocolate Chip Cookie For One

PIN-This pin was for a "2-Minute Chocolate Chip Cookie For One":http://recipesweet.net/2-minute-chocolate-chip-cookie-for-one/
REVIEW-This was a great way to get a cookie fast! The pin said it was for one but I felt that it was still a lot of cookie and may have been better for two. I would also recommend that you use a more sallow bowl, as seen in the picture of the actual pin (on the left), instead of the deeper bowl I had use (the picture to the right). With the deeper bowl I had to cook (microwave) the cookie it a little longer and it became not quite as soft as I would have liked if I would have used a more shallow bowl.
